He planned to practice optometry since his childhood. He earned his\u00a0<strong>Bachelor of Science degree<\/strong>\u00a0in chemistry from\u00a0<strong>Northeastern State University<\/strong>\u00a0in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He earned his\u00a0<strong>Doctor of Optometry degree<\/strong>\u00a0graduating magna cum laude from\u00a0<strong>Northeastern State University\u2019s Oklahoma College of Optometry<\/strong>\u00a0in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He received his clinical training at Cherokee Nation\u2019s Indian Health Services facilities in northeast Oklahoma and the Jack C. Montgomery VA medical center in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He received his certification as an\u00a0<strong>Optometric Glaucoma Specialist<\/strong>\u00a0soon thereafter. Dr. Voigt is a member of the American Optometric Association and Texas Optometric Association. His interests in optometry include glaucoma management, anterior and posterior segment pathology, and primary eye care.
